We share Socrates' belief in the potential of education, not just to fill students' heads with useful facts, but to kindle in them a passion for learning that will persist throughout their lives. However, in order to kindle this enthusiasm, faculty and the student body have to cooperate in the development of lesson plans and activities that can fit the needs of each student. This sort of cooperation and tailoring towards each individual is possible only at our small and dynamic private school such as ours.

Electives offered at Socrates Prep include languages such as Spanish, Latin, and Japanese; STEM subjects such as probability and statistics, robotics, and abstract algebra/number theory; and college prep. AP classes are also determined each year based on student interest. A number of classes offered allow students to present projects and compete for awards so that they may demonstrate what they have learned in a creative and challenging way.

These electives and other classes are not restricted by grade level or age, but solely on ability and interest. We strive to make Socrates Preparatory School as diverse and unique as the students we welcome through our doors.
